Safety - Facts to note 

• Body protectors are designd to absorb impact from falls, kicks and accidents when riding your horse.
• Body protectors cannot protect fully against serious injury, but they can reduce the seriousness of the injury! 
• The correct fitting of a body protector is vital, not just for safety but for comfort too and Townfields Saddlers reccomend being professionally fitted at our showroom or tradestand. 
• Body protectors should be replaced every 3-5 years, as the shock absorption properties of the foam may have become less effective. 
• If you have a heavy fall, the foam will become dented and if it does not expand back to its original shape, the body protector needs to be replaced as it will no longer have the same protecting properties.
